Westbank, BC – Sept 10, 2024 – skiKrumb, the leading provider of radio GPS trackers for ski resorts, has been named a top 10 startup in the Innovate BC, New Ventures BC Competition.
skiKrumb’s advanced technology provides skiers and snowboarders with live updates every 10 seconds on an interactive 3d map. skiKrumb also offers daily replays, tracks statistics such as runs, distance, altitude and more.
Over 200 companies entered the competition and the remaining 10 will pitch to a panel of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and investors to earn their share of $250,000 in cash and prizes. The winners will be announced in person at an Awards Ceremony on September 19th at the Stanley Park Pavilion. skiKrumb is the only company in the top 10 that is not in the Lower Mainland.

skiKrumb is also officially announcing skiKrumb Unbound. Last season skiKrumb customers needed access to the cellular network or WiFi to see where their friends and family were on the mountain. This year they won’t. If the skiKrumb device is connected to our network they will be able to see where their friends and family are on a map on their phone even with no cell connection.

skiKrumb’s platform is available as a mobile app and a website. The app is free to download and use. skiKrumb devices are available for purchase for $175 through the company’s website with a $50/year subscription. There is a discount of $25/device if 4 or more are purchased.
